    The Kryvyi Rih Cultural Centre / KRCC invites you to a free screening of the film "Pamfir," directed by Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk, in Kryvyi Rih!

At the heart of "Pamfir" is the story of Leonid, nicknamed Pamfir, who returns home after working abroad to reunite with his family. However, an unexpected event forces him onto a risky path as a smuggler, leading to irreversible consequences. The film is set in western Ukraine, against the backdrop of the traditional Malanka carnival.

"Pamfir" premiered in May 2022 at the Cannes Film Festival. It was nominated for the “European Discovery of the Year” prize by the European Film Academy and the international critics' association FIPRESCI. Over the past year, the film has won more than 20 awards at international festivals worldwide, including the Grand Prix of the 51st Molodist International Film Festival. It was also named the Best Film of the Year by the Ukrainian Film Academy, the Ukrainian Critics Association, and global publications such as The Guardian, Cineuropa, and Telerama (Le Monde). In its seven weeks of domestic release, the film grossed nearly 11.5 million UAH, with over 77,000 tickets sold. Additionally, Pamfir was selected for over 60 film festivals across 30 countries.
Related Exhibition

The screening is part of the exhibition "Pamfir's Malanka: The Dance of Life and Death." The exhibition can be visited every Saturday from 15:00 and every Sunday from 12:00 to 19:00 at 37 Kostenko Street, Kryvyi Rih (Grey Club House). Admission is free. The project runs until April 28.
