Literary festival “KryvBaz”

The event will bring together renowned Ukrainian authors, cultural figures, and readers to transform the city into a space of dialogue, creativity, and new meanings.

Over the course of three days, the festival will bring together educational events, public discussions, creative writing workshops for children (13+) and adults, the Voices of IDPs and Voices of the New Generation competitions, meetings with writers, an art-book exhibition by the MYPH School of Photography, a free screening of the film Malevich, and musical performances by Zhenia Kudryk and the band BAHROMA (tickets for the band’s acoustic concert are available on concert.ua for 250 UAH).
The program also includes a book fair featuring Ukrainian publishers presenting their editions: The Old Lion Publishing House, Safran, Vydavnytstvo, Meridian Czernowitz, Projector Publishing, Black Sheep, Black Sheep Adult, and Publishing House 21.
Among the invited guests are Andriy Lyubka, Myroslav Laiuk, Yurko Prokhasko, Maia Tulchynska, Olena Pavlova, Anna Lodyhina, Rostyslav Kuzyk, Olha Petryshyn, Sasha Ruban, Olha Honchar, Iryna Bozhko, Iryna Novitska, Hryhorii Huseinov, Iryna Lazorevych, Olia Novak, Ester Nevinchanyi, Iryna Pasko, Ada Yelahina, and other renowned authors whose works shape contemporary Ukrainian literature.

The KryvBaz Literary Festival aims to bring literature closer to the residents of the industrial region, attract young people and a wider audience to reading, establish a new cultural tradition in Kryvyi Rih, and at the same time show that the city is not only an industrial center but also a space for modern cultural practices and creative initiatives.
