Cultural Friday 3.0 is back ✨ After a pause, we are reopening a space for meetings, conversations, and the living word — a space where culture becomes a way to be together, to feel, to listen, and to speak about what truly matters. The event will take place within the framework of the KRCC Culture Talks project, implemented in partnership with the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House*.
We invite you to Ada Yelahina’s poetry reading “The First Last Day”. During the event, the author will present texts from her upcoming collection as well as her newest cycle of poems, which also gave the event its title.
Ada Yelahina is a poet and artist from Kryvyi Rih, author of the poetry collection Above the Fire, winner of the “Qırım inciri / Crimean Fig” literary competition, laureate of the Oles Honchar German-Ukrainian Prize, the Smoloskyp Publishing House literary competition, and the all-Ukrainian queer poetry competition “Hol[o]sni!”. In 2025, she became a participant of the BAZHAN residency for poets and poetry translators.
The author also works with graphics and photography and recently completed her Master’s degree at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.
Her poems have been included in Ukrainian and international poetry anthologies and translated into English, Polish, and Latvian.
Cultural Friday is a return to dialogue, community, and culture as a space of strength. See you there!
