When: August 22, 19:00
Where:

What is toxicity in the public space – a trend or a new norm? Why has public aggression become a common form of communication? Where is the line between freedom of speech and hate speech? Is toxicity a tool of influence or just a manifestation of collective fatigue?
These and other questions will be discussed during Cultural Friday: "Cancelled and Dangerous: Toxicity in the Public Space." The focus will be on phenomena such as bullying, "cancel culture," public shaming, humiliation, aggressive language, and disrespect for personal boundaries – all of which we increasingly observe in social media and the media.
Evening format: Cultural Friday 2.0 is neither a lecture nor an official discussion. There is no lecturer – just live communication, an interesting person, and an open audience. This is a space where you can not only listen but also be heard, share your experience, ask questions, meet new people, and spend your Friday evening in the company of culture and meaning.
Kateryna Shipulia – Director of the Educational and Cultural Space of the Honcharenko Center in Kryvyi Rih.
