Illustration

Date & time: February 21, 14:00
Location:
Ye Bookstore (39 Heroiv ATO Street)

The Midnight Library is a philosophical story about choice, alternative life paths, and the courage to accept one’s own “here and now.” The main character finds herself in a space between life and death—a library where each book represents a different version of her fate. The novel explores themes of the meaning of life, regret, depression, and hope, leaving readers room for deep personal reflection.
During the meeting, members of the literary club will discuss the key motifs of the novel, its emotional impact, and why this story resonates so strongly with readers in times of uncertainty and inner transformation.
The meeting is open to everyone—both those who have already read the novel and those who are only planning to discover The Midnight Library.
Literatus is an open literary club organized by the Kryvyi Rih Center for Contemporary Culture / KRCC together with Ye Bookstore. It brings readers together around shared reading, dialogue, and reflection on contemporary and classic literature. The club format includes regular meetings at Ye Bookstore, where a book becomes a starting point for conversations about personal experience, social processes, and inner change. Literatus creates a community of attentive reading, open to diverse interpretations, opinions, and voices, and aims to make literature a living part of the city’s cultural life.
