The novel “Don’t Look Back and Stay Silent” is a psychological thriller with elements of mysticism that explores fear, guilt, the power of memory, and the darker corners of the human mind. At the center of the story are teenagers who encounter a mysterious phenomenon that begins to transform their reality. The book addresses themes of growing up, responsibility for one’s actions, and the boundary between the real and the supernatural.
During the meeting, participants will read excerpts from the novel together, share their impressions, and discuss the characters, plot twists, and the reasons why this story has become one of the most popular works of contemporary Ukrainian literature.
The Books & Talks format is an open space for reading and dialogue, where literature becomes a starting point for conversations about experience, emotions, and contemporary culture. Everyone is welcome to join — both those who have already read the novel and those who are only planning to discover it.
The event is part of KRCC’s programme aimed at developing reading communities in Kryvyi Rih and supporting contemporary Ukrainian literature.
