Deadline: May 10, 23:59

We are looking for artists working with documentary photography to participate in the exhibition “Atlas of Danger.”
The exhibition will open on June 13, 2026.The exhibition will run from June 13 to June 28, 2026 in Kryvyi Rih.
“Atlas of Danger” is a research-based curatorial project that explores documentary photography of the war in Ukraine as a form of cultural memory and responsible witnessing. At the core of the exhibition is an attempt to move beyond perceiving photography solely as news or informational material, and instead consider it as a complex ethical and cultural tool that shapes long-term perceptions of war.
As a result of the open call, four artists will be selected whose works will become part of the exhibition. We are interested in works that offer a deep, reflective, and ethically sensitive perspective on the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war, engaging with themes of memory, trauma, corporeality, loss, resilience, and recovery. The project will cover production costs, including printing and installation of the artworks.
The exhibition will be complemented by a parallel educational programme, expanding the project as a space for reflection, professional exchange, and public dialogue. It is aimed at both a broad audience and the professional community of curators and researchers, creating opportunities for a deeper understanding of the role of images in times of war.
The project creates a space for dialogue between artists, the community of Kryvyi Rih, and a wider context in which questions of war, memory, and recovery emerge as a shared experience that requires reflection and articulation.
The project “Atlas of Danger” is supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation within the framework of the “Scholarship” grant programme.
